Video Game Soundtracks Are a Part of Remix Culture

I picked this article to read at first because it was called “The 9 Most Captivating Video Game Soundtracks”. I happen to really enjoy listening to soundtracks from movies and video games so I thought this would be something interesting to me. In addition to enjoying the article I also discovered a neat connection. The beloved Tetris song is a big part of the remix culture we have been studying. It comes in a multitude of different forms made by different people on YouTube.

The original song.
A one man acapella version.
The Tetris song played on Theremin.
An arrangement by a Euphonium Trio.
And a beat-boxed rendition.

This is a perfect example of the way remixing is easily done and easily noticed because of social media and the technology available to people.
